Kevin Thomas

Kevin Thomas, up-and-coming singer-songwriter from Monticello, KY is a candid, kind & genuine soul. Discovering a passion for creating music after the loss of his grandmother, he was just 10 years old. Since, music has been both a saving grace and refuge for the young artist. Kevins' logo uniquely embeds a rose which signifies his grandmother who is credited with leading Kevin to his musical journey.

Struggling with things many artists know well such as, self-doubt and measuring success, Kevin continues to learn with his focus on self-improvement as well as lifting up others around him. Kevin says "What I’ve realized is not everyone will like you. No matter how great you are as a writer or singer or even as a person. Not everyone will recognize your talents and that’s okay. Be thankful for the ones that do!" With a wide range of genre influences, Kevin has worked to have his own creativity shine-through and has found who he is as a singer-songwriter.

When asked, "What would you tell your younger self about your journey?" Kevin replied "Just remember it’s takes time, it takes patience and more importantly it takes determination." Although Kevin is a newcomer to the local music scene he truly understands the importance of investing in your craft, diligence, consistency, gracefully accepting "no" for an answer and knowing there is no other competition than you, yourself. Kevin follows up to say "Make sure you put God first, stand for who you are as a person and just write songs you want to. You'll be fine."

As Kevin has continued to develop a following, he has played on a range of stages from hosting intimate open-mic nights to NBC's WSAZ Studio 3 TV promotion for his upcoming debut single "Wither Away".
